Cattani has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sanofi Italy and Malta since 2020. Born in Milan 50 years ago, he is married, has two children and lives in Parma. He has a degree in Biological Sciences with a biomolecular focus with a specialization in Food Chemistry and Technology at the University of Parma.
In over 20 years he has held roles of increasing responsibility at national and international level, gained in various leading biopharmaceutical companies at a global level.
Before becoming president of Farmindustria he was delegate for industrial relations and also coordinated the association groups on prevention, rare diseases, work and sustainability. He is also a member of the General Council of Confindustria.
The Association Assembly has also elected the Presidential Committee composed of five vice-presidents:
The Presidential Committee also includes Emma Charles (BMS), Valentino Confalone (Novartis), Maurizio de Cicco (Roche), Francesco De Santis (Italfarmaco, Massimo Di Martino (Abiogen Pharma), Pierluigi Petrone (Euromed).
The new president will present his program tomorrow at 11 am during the public assembly of Farmindustria “Being competitive in Europe. Pharmaceutical Scenarios”.
