Incontro in Unindustria sui 192 licenziamenti annunciati dalla multinazionale nell’impianto di Sermoneta (Latina). L’azienda apre all’uso di ammortizzatori sociali, finora sempre esclusi. Indetta per i prossimi giorni una “manifestazione per il lavoro”

A difficult dispute, which keeps 192 workers anxious (out of a total of 491), equal to 40 percent of the entire workforce. Il 9 novembre scorso la Corden Pharma, azienda farmaceutica di Sermoneta (Latina), ha annunciato l’avvio della procedura di licenziamento collettivo, che dovrebbe divenire esecutiva in gennaio. Per questi esuberi il gruppo non ha previsto finora l’utilizzo di ammortizzatori sociali, anche se ha accettato di valutare la misura, come invece chiesto da Filctem Cgil, Femca Cisl, Uiltec Uil, Ugl Chimici e Confail. Per provare a risolvere la situazione è convocato per oggi (lunedì 3 dicembre) un incontro tra sindacati e direzione aziendale, l’appuntamento è presso la sede dell’Associazione industriali di Latina.
The crisis table met in Sermoneta on Wednesday 28 November, in the presence of the trade unions, the Lazio Region and the mayors of the Municipalities of Sermoneta, Sezze, Norma and Latina. First of all, the defendants have called a "labour demonstration" to be held after today's meeting in front of the factory gates, in which they invite all the institutions and the entire citizenry to participate. Local authorities and trade unions have agreed to "keep the table constantly active and attention to the story around which much of the productive and employment future of the entire territory is played out".
L’obiettivo comune “è il lavoro, inteso non solamente come slogan, ma come prospettiva comune, sociale ed economica”. Municipalities and trade unions ask the owners that "clarity be clarified on the future of the plant: clarity is essential in order to be able to prefigure a perspective for the workers, the related industries involved, the environmental protection of the site and any production prospects". Lastly, they undertook to intervene with the ministries concerned and the Lazio Region "so that possible measures concerning both the overall crisis area and the use of social safety nets are activated", but also with the Court "so that it can be activated as soon as possible approval of the agreement in the time possible in order to guarantee the workers' salaries”.
La Corden Pharma nasce nel 2006 come marchio farmaceutico privato dell’International chemical investors group (Icig). Possiede tre stabilimenti in Italia – Bergamo, Caponago (Monza) e Sermoneta (Latina) – e altri sei tra Belgio, Francia, Svizzera, Germania e Stati Uniti. L’impianto di Sermoneta è stato acquisito dalla multinazionale nel 2010, precedentemente era di proprietà della statunitense Bristol Myers Squibb. Secondo quanto riferito dal gruppo, il sito perde annualmente circa 28 milioni di euro, e nel corso degli ultimi anni ha già subito pesanti ristrutturazioni, con la conseguente diminuzione del personale.
