Dieci anni di Farmaci in dose unitaria: l’esperienza dell’ospedale di Forlì. Confronti tra professionisti il 16 dicembre alla Sala Pieratelli dell’Ospedale Morgagni-Pierantoni. Nell’Ausl di Forlì, da maggio 2004, in coincidenza cioè con l’avvio delle attività nel nuovo ospedale, è attivo il «progetto dose unitaria». Da allora centinaia di delegazioni di medici e farmacisti, provenienti da tutto il mondo, sono arrivati all’ospedale “Morgagni-Pierantoni” per comprendere questo tipo di percorso innovativo che non si esaurisce nell’avveniristico robot “Pillpick”, ma che coinvolge tutti i processi ospedalieri.

In practice, a bag is prepared, labeled with name and surname, department and hospital identification code, containing all the medicines that the patient must take during the day, with indications on how to take them. This allows for continuous verification by the pharmacist of the prescribed dosages and a double check on the prescription, as well as the impossibility of exchanging medicines in the ward.
