Rome, July 15th 2014 – The CoLAP Scientific Committee, led by prof. Stefano Cordero di Montezemolo met this afternoon to define the 2014-2015 work plan.

“I would like to thank all the authoritative representatives of our Scientific Committee - begins President Alessandrucci, who attended the meeting - for their proactivity and effectiveness, ours is a Committee that intends to actively contribute to the growth of the professional association sector; Also in this the CoLAP intends to distinguish itself - Alessandrucci presses - not for facade assignments, but due roles and serious and precious contributions. The presence at the meeting of several members of the board of directors highlights the will to propose a model of collaboration and discussion that will enrich the entire Coordination".

“As president of the CoLAP Scientific Committee – Stefano Cordero di Montezemolo intervenes – I am honored to lead a team so rich in knowledge and experience. We shared the need to promote an analysis and study plan on the quality certification systems that the associations issue and/or are going to issue; we intend to look beyond the border to learn more about European models and to get closer to what Europe itself expects from the professions and representative associations – continues Montezemolo – Law 4/2013 must be supported and valued and we will do so through the quality certification promoted by our professional associations, we want to propose a model of excellence that really manages to fulfill the task of guaranteeing users and promoting professional quality"

"The first results of our work will be presented on the occasion of our next assembly scheduled for October - concludes the President of the CoLAP Scientific Committee - we will proceed with an interlocution and continuous comparison with the Associations that remain the protagonists of our work and our mission" .

Ed.: The CoLAP (Coordination of Free Professional Associations) established in 1999, currently brings together over 200 free professional Associations, with more than 300,000 members. From 1 December 2013 the CoLAP it is the first form of aggregation identified and included in the list of the Ministry of Economic Development, according to the provisions of law 4/2013 (provisions on professions not organized in orders, registers or colleges). The CoLAP carries out rigorous checks on the member Associations so that they carry out their activity with rigor, transparency and correctness. Professional Associations are required to maintain the dignity and decorum of the reference profession high and undertake to oppose any behavior inspired by dishonesty, deception or fraud. In addition to the initial guarantee check, in the event of a report, however received, of behavior deemed to be in contrast with the principles set out in the Code of Conduct by a professional association or a member of the governing bodies, the CoLAP Governing Council sends the documents to the Board of Arbitrators for the performance of its duties and responsibilities.

We remind you that the simple registration with the MiSE (Ministry of Economic Development) does not guarantee, by explicit declaration of the same ministry, a check on the members and that the list of member associations it has an exclusively informative purpose and not a ranking value or the issue of reliability judgments by the Ministry of Economic Development.

The CoLAP with its control and verification action provides the guarantees required by law 4/2013 on professions not organized in orders or colleges.
