after theannouncement of 27 science whistleblower firings by ABBVIE in the Campoverde plant and the proclamation of one 16-hour strike by the trade unions, it has come to a deal between company and workers. The redundancies have been confirmed, but they drop to 22: “The selection criteria for employees to be redeployed – explains Femca Cisl – concerno people in possession of the pension requirements, volunteers willing to leave the company voluntarily on incentive, the contractual novation if the organizational conditions exist and, only if it does not reach the envisaged number, by resorting to the criteria of the law. Redundancy incentives have been provided for volunteers which will cover around 5 years' salary. It has been foreseen for all those who will leave their jobs a mandatory outplacement path, tent by companies in the sector with the task of seeking solutions for reintegration into work for those who lose their jobs”.
A half victory, therefore, for the unions: “we managed to closeand in a dignified way an agreement that was presented, right from the start, rather complicated due to the rigidities put in place by the company – comments Roberto Cecere Secretary General of the Femca Cisl of Latina -. The united front of the workers and the union has made it possible to keep the point, and to ensure that the company assumes its responsibilities ".
The point emphasized by the unions is that it is once again that it is being hit the category of pharmaceutical sales reps, “we want to hinder the idea – concludes Cecere -, which companies are pursuing, of the informant as a commercial agent rather than a professional who is supportive to doctors and therefore to patients”.

«We were able to close an agreement in a dignified way which, from the outset, appeared to be rather complicated due to the rigidities implemented by the company. The united front of the workers and the union has made it possible to keep the point, and to ensure that the company assumes its responsibilities - explains the secretary of Femca Cisl Roberto Cecere -. It should be underlined that once again, drug sales representatives have been affected by this crisis, a category that in recent years has paid a very high price to the crisis in the sector with thousands of layoffs. As Femca Cisl we have been fighting for years to stop this disaster, through precise and targeted institutional interventions, which protect this category of workers, indispensable in the pharmaceutical world. We want to hinder the idea that companies are pursuing, of the informant as a commercial agent rather than a professional who supports doctors and therefore patients".
