Chieti. Ha patteggiato un anno e 2 mesi un informatore medico scientifico di una società farmaceutica finita anch’essa sotto inchiesta, da parte della Procura della Repubblica di Chieti, per corruzione ovvero presunte tangenti pagate a due medici per la prescrizione di integratori.
L’uomo, in concorso con altri due dipendenti della società, pure indagati, avrebbe versato 10.000 euro a un medico a titolo di acquisto di copie di un libro. Allo stesso medico sarebbero stati promessi e in parte versati altri 
Un altro medico avrebbe invece accettato un iPhone del valore di 850 euro nonché la promessa del pagamento di una cena, da lui organizzata, al fine di prescrivere gli integratori. La società ha patteggiato 15.000 euro. Gli indagati sono complessivamente dodici, tre dei quali società farmaceutiche.
L’udienza di oggi si è tenuta dinanzi al gip del Tribunale di Chieti Alberto Iachini. Una nuova udienza preliminare a carico degli altri indagati deve essere ancora fissata [N.d.R.: i medici pediatri di famiglia che erano stati coinvolti sono stati tutti prosciolti dal GIP perché il fatto non sussiste].

Pharmaceutical Representatives are the only ones who can provide scientific information on prescription drugs to doctors and pharmacists (to the latter limited and only to the information contained in the summary of the drug characteristics, not the sale) according to the Legislative Decree, 219/06 (Article 119 and subsequent).
The salesmen and sales representative agents, with all the respect due to every honest worker and every profession, are not Pharmaceutical Representatives.
We repeat for the umpteenth time that infant formula is not a drug. The commercial agents who sell the baby milk are not scientific representatives of the drug.
