Eventually however, he concluded that there will be enough doses for everyone. The differences will mainly concern the timing of administration.
The French prime minister also intervened today on the case Edouard Philippe: “Equal access for all to the vaccine is not negotiable”. Philippe, who today spoke with the chairman of the board of directors of Sanofi, Serge Weinberg. The latter, he had written shortly before in a tweet, “has provided me with all the necessary reassurances regarding the distribution in France of a possible Sanofi vaccine“. Even the French president Emmanuel Macron he is "annoyed" by the announcement of the CEO of Sanofi. Macron is pushing for vaccines to be considered a "common good" for humanity that should not be subject to market pressures. Next week there will be a meeting with Sanofi in Macron's office.
Meanwhile, it is expected that the last of the vaccinated could be immunized even several years after the first. To the 12-18 months needed to develop a definitive remedy against the pandemic, the times for production and distribution should also be added. Of the 110 groups at work around the world, each with a different technical approach, about a third are in the USA, about fifteen in Europe and the same number in China.
