From the MedReps Report - which takes stock of the sector every year sales force in the medical and biotechnological fields – two important aspects emerge which particularly interest drug sales representatives: their entry-level salaries are in the top ten highest, but the total salary is one of the lowest in the sector of the sales force of the medical-scientific sector of the United States.
According to this report, whistleblowers in the pharmaceutical industry received a higher base salary in 2015 than others in the industry — nearly $91,000, on average — but with lower bonuses, for a total pay of about $122,000. The most experienced and skilled whistleblowers earned slightly more, with a base salary of nearly $99,000 and total compensation of $138,000.
Biotech whistleblowers are good, women are bad
Topping the list, once again, are biotech whistleblowers, who boast the highest base salary — nearly $108,000 — and an average total salary that exceeds $165,000.
Returning to Pharma, the situation changes in top sales positions: in fact, sales managers have average salaries of around 200,000 dollars. Finally, there is no equality between the sexes: women have in fact earned about 12% less than their male colleagues, with an average salary of 119,700 dollars. Difference that in the Pharma has also reached the 20%.
