An AIISF delegation, made up of the National President Angelo De Rita and the Regional President of Emilia-Romagna Angelo Dazzi, met on Monday 15 May the regional manager for drug policies, Dr. Cristina Malvi, and her collaborator, Dr. Mauro Mazzolani.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of frankness and with the by now usual collaborative spirit.
The Emilia-Romagna Region, they let us know, intends to draw up a regional regulation that is certainly more complex than the simple guidelines recently approved by the Regional Presidents within the State-Regions Conference. The set of rules of the regulation should be issued administratively, as stated by law 326.
As regards more specifically the activity of the ISF, the orientation is to apply the guidelines of the regional regulation approved by the State-Regions Conference to the letter, i.e. leaving companies the choice of carrying out 3 to 5 visits a year for doctors, so as not to seriously affect work organisations.
Particular attention was paid to the possible repercussions that the regulation could have on the employment of the ISFs.
The region, after hearing our proposals and needs, will draw up a draft regulation which will be submitted to the parties involved: General Managers of AUSL and AO, Medical Organizations, Trade Unions, etc.
After an hour and a half of a cordial conversation, we parted making an appointment for a next meeting in which we will examine the draft regulation together.
