Sulmona. Poor security: pharmaceutical company closes the plant after the third theft in three months

4Pharma leaves the industrial area of Sulmona and it is a farewell that will be talked about a lot.
In just three months, the well-known pharmaceutical company – which has among its products Voltaren, Maalox and Efferalgan, just to name a few widely known names – has suffered three thefts. “A company like ours that works in a delicate sector such as medicines cannot live with the anxiety and danger of suffering repeated thefts.” report the managers. "A situation that forces us, albeit reluctantly, to leave". An area defined as "unsafe", that of Contrada San Nicola in Sulmona, where, among others, other companies are also based.

The latest theft from 4Pharma took place last weekend, in very particular ways: the thieves first stole a forklift in a carpentry shop bordering on the property of the pharmaceutical plant, then they entered the company warehouse where, using the forklift, they opened an armored wardrobe and a cold room.
Inside them, the criminals probably thought they would find valuables: this was not the case, but the consequent damages were huge, estimated at around nine thousand euros.

Investigations are underway by the investigators.
