(Apcom) – The Pharmaceutical Bank is also intervening in favor of the populations affected by the earthquake in Abruzzo: the Foundation has in fact supplied the mobile Pharmacy of the Civil Protection of Cesano Maderno and Federfarma with medicines, sent to the "Advanced Medical Post of the Mobile Relief Column " of the Lombardy Region in Abruzzo.
In the mobile structure - explained by the Bank - the drugs that are most useful for responding to the needs of the displaced population are available. The Mobile Pharmacy has been active since this morning in the field organized in Monticchio, a hamlet of L'Aquila. The first supply of medicines is available thanks to the donations received by the Banco Farmaceutico Foundation from the Opera San Francesco of Milan and Alleanza Salute, while Federfarma Abruzzo will provide the structure with volunteer pharmacists.
The Banco Farmaceutico Foundation has also alerted its local managers to identify further needs, which will be created and based on the indications of the volunteer pharmacists who work in this structure. The Banco Farmaceutico Foundation has activated a fundraising channel to support the populations affected by the earthquake (the funds will be used to purchase medicines).
