With the current regulation for prescribing the active ingredient of the drug, "there is no saving for the National Health Service". This was supported by the general secretaries of Filctem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl, Uilcem-Uil in a common note.
"The arrogance of the government and in particular of the Minister of Health Renato Balduzzi is truly embarrassing-reiterate Emilio Miceli, Sergio Gigli, Paolo Pirani, respectively general secretaries of Filctem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl and confederal secretary Uil-is even more in the face of the amendments presented by UDC, Lega, Pdl and Pd that eliminate the obligation for the doctors to prescribe, Active ingredient of a medicine.
The current law, if not corrected, risks creating enormous employment problems and could induce some companies to relocate their production, their research, thus creating damage to the country and to the growth of the gross domestic product, greater than what the law itself can save.
As trade union organizations and Farmindustria we have long requested a meeting with Prime Minister Mario Monti to examine and evaluate the cost-benefits of these measures. We urge the Government to open a confrontation".
