Once the gates are closed, the strike continues in front of the headquarters of Sigma – Tau, the pharmaceutical company which from next January will lay off 569 people. This morning at six the employees occupied the entrance to the Pomezia company with whistles, flags and banners and in the afternoon the sit-in moved to the Ministry of Economic Development.
Not only the employees of the Pomezia office participate, but also health representatives from all over Italy. They organized themselves with trains and buses to take part in the demonstration which will continue until Minister Corrado Passera meets the trade unions: "We come from Milan", tell two health informants "we are here not only to support our colleagues at the Pomezia office but also to defend our right to work".
The protest, which will continue throughout the day, is against the company's new recovery plan and a first working table was already started last week with the Lazio Region which opened the crisis unit for a national dispute.
