The mobilization in Pomezia has been confirmed for tomorrow".
The RSU expresses its satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting which took place yesterday at the Ministry of Economic Development. What is evident to everyone, namely that, even in the face of a state of suffering of the production sites, it is not possible to take unilateral measures that dramatically cut hundreds of jobs, has finally been digested also by the sigma-tau.
The commitment of the workers, of the RSU, of the territorial and national unions with the full support of the institutions has borne its first fruits.
The company has agreed to discuss group strategies and, in this context, has formally declared its intention to maintain the production chain of the Pomezia site.
A discussion will therefore be initiated between the parties on the methods, even different from those indicated up to now by the Company, on the management of the sigma-tau dispute; the sigma-tau will not be able to proceed with unilateral acts until 13 January 2012, the day of the new convocation of the national table at the Ministry.
In the meantime, the parties will meet with the Lazio Region to seek an agreement.
Also with regard to the thorny issue of the unilateral cancellation of all the company union agreements that sigma-tau had declared it wanted to make operational from 1 January 2012, the Company had to take a step back and until new ones are stipulated, the existing ones will remain in force.
However, the demonstration by Sigma-Tau workers scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 17 December, in Pomezia remains confirmed.
