(ASCA) - Rome, August 25 - Extraordinary revision of the National Pharmaceutical Handbook to exclude from reimbursement drugs no longer of interest to the National Health Service. This is foreseen in the draft of the decree that the Minister of Health, Renato Balduzzi, will present on August 31 during the Council of Ministers, which ASCA was able to view.
The objective behind the provision - according to what has been learned - is to reduce the price of those similar drugs with a much higher treatment cost than other equivalents and not covered by a bevetto.
