(ANSA) - MILAN, FEBRUARY 22 - 2012 was a difficult year for the non-prescription drug sector: the data in fact indicate a drop in consumption of 5.4% and a contraction in expenditure of 3.7%. This was announced by ANIFA, the national association of manufacturers of self-medication drugs.
However, thanks to the 'delisting' of over 350 packs of medicines, the non-prescription market is holding up with a more contained decrease in consumption (-1.6%) and an increase in turnover (+2.5%) compared to 2011.
