In theatrical comedy Vision, the forms and ways in which scientific representatives and psychiatrists can induce, with too often imperceptible nuances, a patient to transform into a psychotic subject are discussed.
There are those who define it as an irregular art, an expressive form born from the interests, from the pluriform relationships that theater and psychiatry have woven and live. We, family members of people with mental suffering, define it as programming that arises from a reality subordinated to the illusion conceived by a mind that wants to see beyond the deception.
Vision comedy in three acts proposed by Dr Giancarlo Zurzolo, tells and collects ideas, thoughts, visions, which revolve around psychiatry, psychiatrists in particular on the economic interests that surround psychopharmaceuticals. In the meetings between the protagonists of the theatrical comedy Vision, the forms and ways in which scientific representatives and psychiatrists can induce, with too often imperceptible nuances, a patient to transform into a psychotic subject are discussed.
The interpersonal and social conflicts that the patients express in this comedy are fertile ground for the psychiatrist, who recites a detailed solution to stimulate and act in everyday life. The disorders are thus valued because it allows the oppressed, i.e. the patient, to free himself from any subjection told with a drug conceived ad hoc. Every social situation or partially conscious difficulty plays a major role and becomes part of an overload of pharmaceutical remedies.
The inventiveness of psychiatrists determines a society founded on rapacity, selfishness and accumulations. A society that eliminates the weakest in a game of visions disconnected from reality. The proposed themes vary from the stigma that accompanies any person with a condition of mental suffering, to the mechanisms of information and the many possible images of ways that can administer remedies studied on the layout of speculation and on a factory that induces addiction.
Vision attests, in a language embellished by its protagonists, in narrative form and in a drama with comedic references, in the place they act, as a kind of relief from their personal passions by enacting a conflict with consequent psychic lacerations. The forerunner locked up in his weaknesses unknowingly allows it to become a therapeutic tool.
The performance will take place at the Odeon Theater on 22 January 2018 at 8.30pm.
