Sergio Dompè could achieve a second mandate at the helm of Farmindustria. As far as we know, the current number one of the drug manufacturers' association would seem to be moving towards a single-candidate election. Dompè, 52 years old from Milan, elected president on 22 June 2005, would extend his presidency for another two years. The election, scheduled for 25 June, will then be made official the following day during the public assembly of Farmindustria, which this year includes an exceptional parterre: from Prime Minister Romano Prodi to Confindustria leader Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, to the Ministers of Health Livia Turco and of Economic Development Pierluigi Bersani.
