Rome, 16 November – It has been published in the Official Gazette no. 266 of 14 November and the following day decree n.179/2015 entered into force with the Urgent provisions on accounting and contributing to the equilibrium of the public finances of the Regions, which contains measures of direct interest for the drug supply chain.
It concerns, in particular, article 2 which, “pending the conclusion, by the Italian Medicines Agency, of the compensation procedures for the possible breach of the territorial and hospital pharmaceutical expenditure ceiling for the years 2013 and 2014″, provides for the development of measures to ensure pharmaceutical payback.
In this way, we want to give an answer to the need to ensure the settlement of the excess health expenditure through the restitution of the same by the pharmaceutical companies, in order to ensure the National Health Service revenues that achieve public finance balance .
Also relevant is the content of the art. 3, which provides for extraordinary measures for the management, support and monitoring of companies carrying out healthcare activities for the NHS.
