The last word has not yet been written for pharmacists who own parpharmacies. “The hope is that the text on competition arrived in the Chamber will undergo improvements: we will therefore be vigilant, hoping not to witness yet another assault by those underground powers which have their most valuable allies within Parliament”.
This was stated by the president of the National Federation of Italian parapharmacies, David Gullotta, returning to the competition bill, which has just been assigned to the joint Finance and Productive Activities commissions of the Chamber. “The news reports – he continues – of the assault by lobbyists who, as happened in past liberalization rounds, punctually block any attempt at change.
We will therefore ensure that the experience of many pharmacists who own parapharmacies is not killed by a government which, contrary to the premises and fine words, is proving to be too much dominated by underground powers"
