The Government launches a maneuver worth 38 billion. A new offset is ready

A Budget Law from 38 billion, but which can be enhanced with new budget variance: the Government has given the green light to the text which provides, among the main measures, another 12 weeks of Covid layoffs, the de-contribution for the hiring in the two-year period 2021/22 of young people and women and the blocking of layoffs until March 31st. Approved more than a month ago subject to agreements, the text is now awaited in Parliament: a maneuver "strongly oriented towards growth, employment, social cohesion, with a particular focus on young people, women and the South", according to defined the Minister of Economy Robert Gualtieri and which aims to "carry out an ambitious transformation of Italy in the direction of innovation, sustainability, cohesion, equity and employment". Shortly afterwards, the head of the Economy himself specified that the maneuver "could be strengthened due to the intensity of the second wave" of the pandemic: "We will strengthen the intervention both in 2020 and in 2021 through the budget variancewhich will allow us to strengthen the measures and some of the interventions indicated, especially of an economic nature for 2020”, he explains.

As for the measures, the three-year contribution relief for permanent employment of young people, plus full tax relief for women and support for female entrepreneurship. It is extended "in agreement with the social partners" the blocking of layoffs until 31 March, adding to the measure a fund for active employment policies with an initial endowment of 500 million euros. Minister Gualtieri also announces that the public investments they will be supported by a new 50 billion multi-year fund and the private ones by the enhancement of Transition 4.0 with an allocation of 23.8 billion for the next two years. There Defence will hold several hearings on the assigned deal on cyber security profiles pertaining to national defense. There Public Works will hold some hearings on the implementation of urgent interventions to restore the functionality of the Savona cableway system under concession to Società Funivie SpA

There Agriculture will carry out hearings on the assigned case on the damage caused to agriculture by the excessive presence of wildlife and some on the assigned case relating to issues concerning market and toxicological aspects of the durum wheat supply chain. He will then examine the bill, already approved by the Chamber, on agriculture with organic methods and that for the limitation of the sale of agricultural products below cost and the prohibition of double-reduction auctions.
