Is it better to defend the Worker or the Work? – The debate that has begun

The few words, comparable to a motto, pronounced by Calenda after his enrollment in the Democratic Party kept me awake one night. Out of curiosity I went in search of his work and political history, all spent with the part that I believe is not the bearer of our interests. So I looked into his family history and there, perhaps, I found the answer to my doubts.

Carlo Calenda, a few years ago held roles in Confindustria that placed him as a counterpart of the workers, even an opponent when he ran with a civic list created by the supporters and proponents of the Fornero reform which only produced tears among the workers.

Today I heard shocking words coming from his lips, perhaps because his family upbringing is different from the working and political one of the past.

Forse, proprio il suo retaggio famigliare gli ha fatto pronunciare le parole “we need to go back to defending the Worker and not the job“.

For how many decades, perhaps six or more, has the Worker not been at the center of the Union's interests except in institutional discourses?

Has the Calenda of the past, necessarily bearer of the interests of Confindustria and antagonist of the interests of the Worker, become our friend?

Mette al centro il Lavoratore e non il lavoro; l’affermazione ha significato importante, concentrando l’interesse sull’individuo non rischia di confonderlo con la generalità del lavoro. Concentrarsi sul Lavoro a scapito del Lavoratore ci ha condotto al virtuale, come avvenuto per l’economia e solo pochi ne detengono la capacità di manovra.
It would be desirable for the Union to go back to defending the Worker because the Worker is enough to defend work.

Sono costernato da questo attuale medio evo, costretto ad assistere a lotte tra bande per l’affermazione del potere personale che nulla ha a che fare con tutto ciò che è Sociale se non attraverso promesse che non dovranno essere mai mantenute.

La controparte di un tempo è l’amico di oggi? L’amico di ieri coltiva amicizie che il nostro antagonista di ieri ha abbandonato?

I'm thrilled.

L’unica cosa che raccapezzo è che il nodo cruciale sta nella differenza tra i sostantivi “Lavoratore” che individua un essere umano e “Lavoro” che individuando un interesse generale vuole accomunare tutti nello stesso calderone per non garantire nulla ad alcuno.

The point is: should we defend the Work or the Worker?

Rifacendomi alla recente storia dei rinnovi contrattuali, dove si è difeso strenuamente il Lavoro, dal 2006 all’ultimo, circa 15.000 ISF sono stati licenziati a favore di una difesa più generale del Lavoro che è passata attraverso accordi tra le parti per aggirare la Legge che individua nell’informatore un ruolo sociale finalizzato all’uso appropriato dei farmaci favorendo invece l’interpretazione di una figura ibrida più utile al privato che al sociale. Riflettendo su questo mi viene da pensare che delegare la difesa del Lavoro non sia utile al Lavoratore mentre sarebbe molto utile che qualcuno si faccia delegare per la difesa del Lavoratore, se il Sindacato c’è si faccia avanti e difenda il Lavoratore anche attraverso i rinnovi contrattuali ma non solo con essi. Il caporalato, diffuso anche nelle grandi aziende, che colpisce soprattutto i Lavoratori più deboli meno tutelabili (dopo il jobs act è una schiera crescente) va combattuto con la lotta corpo a corpo e questo, a mio immodesto giudizio, è il senso da attribuire all’affermazione di Calenda.

” Difesa del Lavoratore” ?

Un’ultima chiosa che riguarda più da vicino gli ISF è l’Albo e la sua lunga storia travagliata.

For 40 years tenaciously pursued by the ISF and punctually at every goal that seemed achievable, crippled by the melina of Farmindustria or the Syndicate.

Capisco Farmindustria che vede nell’Albo una limitazione al suo potere di manipolazione dei singoli ISF per ottenere prestazioni più commerciali che scientifiche.

Non comprendo l’astio del Sindacato .

L’Albo non è il demonio, non è un’antagonista del Sindacato, non è un suo concorrente e allora questa diffidenza a cosa è dovuta, a ignoranza oppure a fronte degli ostacoli posti dal Sindacato la controparte gli offre vantaggi di altro tipo?

Così non si difende né il Lavoro né il Lavoratore che è l’obiettivo di Farmindustria ed è l’unica, tra tutti gli attori di questo teatro, ad aver sempre raggiunto gli obbiettivi che si è posta ad ogni rinnovo contrattuale.

Come sappiamo c’è stato un ridimensionamento drammatico nei numeri degli organici.
Le cause sono molteplici, fra le più importanti il fatto che molte aziende, soprattutto le multinazionali hanno indirizzato il proprio piano di sviluppo, ricerca e marketing in direzione super specialistica con l’abbandono graduale ma progressivo della medicina di base. In secondo luogo perché altre figure professionali, come i medici di territorio, e in minima parte i key account, si sono affiancati agli ISF rilevandone spesso competenze e ruolo.

Inoltre dobbiamo anche evidenziare che una gran parte degli ISF vengono impiegati in un settore “emergente” che è quello del nutraceutico.
In this case, the first consideration to be made is that if these products are drugs, whoever promotes them plays the role of ISF and as such must be subject to law 219/06.
