The Lombard commander was the key to the price of drugs, he was the dominus of the drug trade throughout the country. Today he is under investigation. But why did Balduzzi name him?
Who Carlo Lucchina was, until yesterday, we only knew in a handful of avid health policy enthusiasts. He is a shy man, a devoted CL and not in floral codpieces like his associate Roberto Formigoni. Both Formiga is handsome and Lucchina is sad; both Formiga is arrogant and Lucchina is disgusting. But so much money has passed through his hands in just over ten years that most public managers forget about it. First of all, hands and shoulders, the 100 billion and broken put into circulation by the Lombardy Region which this year is eating up 17 billion alone (to give an example). Today the magistrates of Milan accuse him of having managed money profusely as he pleased, to favor companies linked to the Compagnia delle Opere. But that Lucchina was the key man knew all those who had to know, always.
Newspapers and sites (starting from ours) are full of the infamous events detected by the magistrates in Lombardy, and today we also read about Lucchina. His photographs have even appeared, until yesterday rare and strictly in the Chronicle of Milan. So it is useless to recall his deeds here. He is the man who commands Lombard healthcare in agreement with Formiga: and so be it. But, a note from the ineffable Minister of Health Renato Balduzzi informs us of something else.
