Businesses are losing courage

"Companies need to be able to quickly access their credits, payments that are due to us". And "be careful, because companies are losing courage". Diana Bracco, vice president of Confindustria with responsibility for Research and Innovation, launched the warning, responding to journalists in Milan, on the sidelines of the ceremony for the delivery of the scholarships assigned by the Bracco Foundation within the 'Progetto Diventerò'.

To those who ask for a comment on the postponement of the awaited decree law to settle the debts of the PA to companies, Bracco speaks in general of the problem, explaining that "it is true, we are very affected, but I think all companies are affected. This is a an issue that we raised a few years ago and on which we have continually insisted. At the time, when Tremonti was still minister, a very complicated system had been devised which, as we said, makes it impossible for us to access these payments that are owed to us.

Now they bring back a proposal that largely follows those lines, so we protested. But I am always a hopeful and optimistic person, I see that the decree has been postponed and I hope it has been postponed for the better". The current situation discourages businesses, Bracco reiterates.

"This is a very serious matter – he adds – so much so that more than a year has passed and we have seen nothing in favor of businesses. We have not heard of investments or tax exemptions, tax credits, perhaps incentives for research and innovation, if not in theory and then never in a practical way".
