This electoral round also divided Italy into wedges: 25% of the citizens abstained; 25% voted to the right; 25% voted for the left and 25% voted for the 5 Star Movement. Governability is practically impossible. The only certainty is that Italians are now against politics and politicians. The 5 Star Movement, which is the only reality with about 160 “new faces”, he needs to be helped. It is necessary not to leave them alone in order to be able to say, as Dario Fo said, "it begins again”.
This important premise led me to think that it is necessary to start over by re-establishing health care to distance it from lobbies and bring it closer to citizen-patients. As my mother always said: health comes first. Let's start with some ideas for a new health system that I would like.
· Let's change the name of hospitals and nursing homes to Casa del Benessere. The citizen must enter with the hope of exiting in good health.
· Let's erase the duality between drug and generic, no double production lines, no generics that have different bioavailability. In 1834 an itinerant doctor, Dr. Dulcamara in the opera Elisir d'amore by Gaetano Donizzetti which was performed for the first time in Milan, sold its specific potion in the squares. We call specific drugs one and only one for each pathology.
· We charge for drugs by canceling co-payments to reduce the family "collection" but let's give them free to everyone for chronic, low-income and life-saving therapies. Those who are ill are helped by those who use non-habitual drugs. This is true health equity. We save on drugs with the same clinical indications and with enormously different costs.
