In April 2015, one of the fastest growing sectors was the production of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+9,1%).

In April 2015, the seasonally adjusted index of industrial production decreased by 0.3% compared to March. On average for the February-April 2015 quarter, production increased by 0.5% compared to the previous quarter.
Corrected for calendar effects, in April 2015 the index increased in trend terms by 0.1% (there were 21 working days against 20 in April 2014). On average for the first four months of the year, production decreased by 0.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The seasonally adjusted index shows positive cyclical changes in the groupings of intermediate goods and capital goods (both +0.1%); instead, energy (-1.3%) and consumer goods (-1.2%) decreased.
In trend terms, the indices adjusted for calendar effects recorded, in April 2015, only one increase in the capital goods sector (+3.0%); Conversely, intermediate goods (-1.7%), consumer goods (-1.2%) and, to a lesser extent, energy (-0.1%) decreased.
As regards the sectors of economic activity, in April 2015 the sectors that recorded the greatest trend growth were those of the manufacture of means of transport (+17.1%), the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+16.8%) and of the production of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+9.1%). The greatest decreases were recorded in the sectors of the textile, clothing, leather and accessories industries (-6.2%), metallurgy and metal product manufacturing, excluding machinery and plants (-5.1%) and the food, beverage and tobacco industries (-2.8%).
