An overall growth in value of 8.2% and in volumes of 7.9%, with over 1.26 billion euros in turnover and just over 90 thousand packs sold. These are some of the results of the supplement market in the first half of 2015, according to the data processing by New Line Ricerche di Mercato and Iri, published on the Federsalus website, which also provide an overview of the data referring to the period July 2014-June 2015.
As regards the first half of 2015, the pharmacy, with 85.5% in volumes and 92.2% in values, shows growth of 7.7 and 8.2% respectively, while together Iper + Super + self-service small (i.e. Superette or Minimarket) increased respectively by 10.6% and 9.1% (with a share of 12.7% and 6.1%). For pharma corners the increase is 0.4% and 5.4%. Compared to the annual data (year ending June 2015), as stated on the site, the turnover exceeded 2.4 billion euros "for a total of just under 173 million packages sold (+7.3%)" and a growth in value of 7.7%.
