On Wednesday 17 March, a meeting was held at the Confcommercio headquarters in Foggia promoted by the President of the Foggia Section of the Italian Association of Scientific Drug Representatives, Dr. Antonio Lattanzio, with the President of the Order of Pharmacists, Dr. Armando Guerriero, the President of the Order of Doctors, Dr. Salvatore Onorati, and the President of Federfarma, Dr. Gianfranco Curato. The session was attended by numerous Scientific Representatives of the drug, including many colleagues registered in our Order. During the session, the problem of drug substitution practiced in pharmacies was mainly discussed, with particular regard to the excessive ease with which this is practiced. The replacement of one drug with another, we recall, takes place following the application by the pharmacist of article 6 of the national collective agreement for the regulation of relations with pharmacies, which reads verbatim: [...] "If the prescribed medicine is untraceable in the normal cycle of distribution or in case the pharmacy does not have one, the pharmacist may deliver other medicine of equal composition e pharmaceutical form and of the same indication therapy that has a price equal or lower for the National Health Service.
