Boom for generic drugs in France. After a brief stalemate, in fact, the use of these medicines grew by 8 points compared to April. And to date, approximately the 80% of the original products has been replaced by equivalents, according to the latest data from the National Health Insurance Fund (Cnam) published in Parisien-Aujourd'hui. The growth trend in the use of these products is very marked. But that's not enough for the insurance fund. Cnam, by the end of 2012 hopes that the 85% of the original medicines will be replaced by generics.
