PRESS RELEASE
Code
The current medicines code, despite recent changes, will not allow homeopathy to survive, as it prohibits homeopathic medicines from clearly claiming therapeutic indications, both on the packaging
In fact, there are two categories of homeopathic medicines.
There are medicines with a common name, such as Sulfur 30 CH or Mercurius solubilis 9 CH, the indications for which must be given by a doctor on the basis of an in-depth analysis of the patient, of his/her reactive peculiarity to the treatment and from the his pathology. These medicines are used on the basis of a specific method of prescription which requires expertise and therefore specific training.
There are also «specialized» medicines, identified by a fancy name, such as “Oscillococcinum®", “Stodal®"”, “Euphralia®", which are intended to treat a particular pathology such as: flu, cough or eye irritation. If these medicines cannot highlight their indications for use on the packaging or in information leaflets intended for health professionals
