The Boiron Informers with hybrid cars

Leader in the pharmaceutical sector homeopathic, but also in sustainable mobility.Boiron, historic company in the field of homeopathy, has decided to push the accelerator of the company's total sustainability by adopting Full Hybrid cars. The goal is to further reduce the environmental impact and CO2 emissions of the company which operates globally with various locations. In total, Boiron aims to have a fleet of 500 hybrid cars in Europe, the bulk of which for now is located in the French headquarters which already has 90 clean cars in 2014, which will become 260 by the end of 2016. But the Italian headquarters is also preparing to be hit by the revolution hybrid mobility, the introduction of clean cars took place in March 2015 in Italy and there will be a significant increase in the coming months.

Silvia Nencioni, CEO and President of Boiron Italia said:

“The decision to renew the entire company car fleet has a twofold motivation: the eco-sustainable quality of hybrid vehicles, which allows us to contribute, as far as possible, to the reduction of CO2 emissions related to mobility, and savings in terms of reduced management and consumption, due to the possibility of traveling ateven in electric mode. In Italy, almost half of our collaborators are drug sales specialists and sales specialists, who travel around the area on a daily basis, especially in city circuits. One of the peculiarities of hybrid cars is that the electric motor takes care of the departure up to an average speed of 50 km/h; in this way a slow, responsible and less stressful driving style is encouraged. I am convinced, in fact, that stress is not directly proportional to performance; on the contrary, it can negatively affect professional performance”.

The decision to use hybrid cars in its company fleet was not immediate, but required tests by Boiron salesmen who tested Toyota cars for three weeks. In view of the positive assessments made Boiron has decided to renew the car fleet of its commercial network.
