Genoa. We are moving towards the closure of hospitals. Villa Scassi and ASL 3 and ASL 4 already closed to the ISF

In the Carignano hospital, day surgery operations and short hospitalizations are skipping, but no stops due to neoplastic diseases and emergencies. Beds are needed for coronavirus patients and the knits are tightening in the rest of the region as well.

La Repubblica Genova – 18 ottobre 2020

The first hospital to raise the white flag in this beginning of the second wave is Galliera: starting Monday, day surgery operations and short-day hospitalizations will be skipped. Only the cases of pathologies are “saved”. neoplastic diseases, emergencies and those situations, the hospital said.

Villa Scassi is also entering phase 3. The goal is to find 74 beds, and for this the spaces of "Medicine 2" will be reconverted. Unlike Galliera, however, Villa Scassi did not have to cancel day surgery and short hospitalizations because the plan of the Asl3 is to carry out the "covid-free" activities at the Gallino hospital in Pontedecimo. The stitches, however, are getting tighter and tighter: at Villa Scassi and in general in Asl3 And Asl4 visits from relatives were already prohibited, now the parents have also remained outside scientific informants.

Finally San Martino: the first hospital to enter phase 3 by opening the beds in what is now called the "Bean" is not yet in a position to have to give up day surgery. In San Martino, among other things, the fixed structure for the pre-triage was erected yesterday, where the ambulances bring suspected Covid patients without entering the emergency room.
