Family travel at the expense of medical equipment representatives, offered through a convention company. Transfers that cost the accusation of corruption for two other Tuscan cardiologists, which end up in the investigation that has already led to the arrest of three representatives and the denunciation of various medical specialists. And the names are important, in particular one, that of the head of cardiology of Arezzo Leonardo Bolognese, who is participating with very high chances of winning the Careggi competition that would crown him Gensini's successor. The other doctor under investigation is Francesco Bovenzi, head of cardiology in Lucca. The departments have been searched in recent days by the Finance.
The investigation by prosecutors Giuseppina Mione and Luca Turco, which months ago cost the arrest of Rodolfo Bonaccini and his sons Marco and Rudy, is revealing the incessant courtship of doctors by the tireless father and son representatives, and a trickle of gifts: paid trips, computers, cell phones, hams. In return, the sellers expect orders, because – they say – promises must be honored e 
the smanruffati cannot escape. The system seems generalized. Few doctors shy away from courtship and the Bonaccini define them as "assholes". For now in the investigation there are 7 chief cardiologists under investigation. Peace does not seem to reign among the professionals of that specialty. They compete for primary positions in the competitions. But almost everyone likes getting paid for the congress, perhaps in San Francisco, with the family in tow. And traveling on business is a marvel.
The investigation intercepted many Tuscan cardiologists for a few months and the picture that emerges is in some ways disheartening. Beyond any crimes committed, which will be ascertained by the judiciary, the doctors discuss the competitions, they battle to have that job or support that colleague against another, they look for banks, they brag about friendships. The challenge between Gensini and Margheri is almost epic. The former does not want the latter to become head physician of Ponte a Niccheri and the two use their knowledge to get the better of it. And the phones were only bugged for a few weeks.
