Doctor's job? It can be done at Menarini
The pharmaceutical company illustrated to the students of the Medicine and Surgery course the opportunities that the company can offer to young doctors
The future doctors from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Florence took part in a day dedicated to what is, in fact, a little-known profession: the doctor who works for a pharmaceutical industry.
In the classroom, Massimo Galeazzi, Menarini Human Resources Director Italy And Simone Baldini, Clinical Development Leader at Menarini, they talked about the Company and the opportunities it can offer to young doctors.
The meeting is part of a series of initiatives by Employer branding organised, withPlacement Office of the University of Florence, by Menarini to make future doctors aware of their company reality and what the concrete job opportunities might be. Working in a company is a real choice, just like practicing the profession according to the 'classic' procedure following graduation or specialisation.
“In a pharmaceutical company like Menarini, there are many areas in which the doctor can carry out his activity: above all research, but, among others, also regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance or the medical-marketing sector", he said Massimo Galeazzi.
Together with research, internationalization has always been one of Menarini's strategic objectives:
“Like all professionals who work for our Group, company doctors also have the opportunity to discuss in a global context where the enhancement of diversity becomes a common asset for the company and its employees" he added Galeazzi.
They attended the meeting Dominic Prisco, president of the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery, Vanna Boffo, Delegate of the Rector for Job Placement e Mario Milco D'Elios delegate for Job Placement for the School of Human Health Sciences (medical area).
The detailed knowledge of what opportunities a pharmaceutical company can offer a doctor represented an added value for the students for their future professional orientation:
“We are very grateful to Menarini for this lesson – ha detto D'Elios – because it can present an aspect of the medical profession that, perhaps, the student does not know. It is good, especially for students, to have a 360-degree knowledge of job opportunities”.
