Dispensing all class C drugs in parapharmacies and health corners and starting production of compliant and disposable packs. These are all proposals which should allow citizens to save money and which Federconsumatori has re-launched following the publication of Federfarma's calculations on data on pharmaceutical expenditure. «The final balance shows a strong reduction in spending for 2011», which however «didn't benefit the citizens due to the increase in the ticket. Now we expect the Ministry of Health to act decisively to reduce the ! costs that citizens support for the medicines they need". And so, among the projects that could have an impact in this sense, for Federconsumatori there is the sale in parapharmacies and health corners of all category C drugs, "which would lead to possible savings of over 42 euros per year per family" and then «a structural reform, which finally initiates the entry into production and marketing of compliant and disposable packages, applying already existing regulations». This provision would guarantee "less waste and would avoid leftovers which then have to be eliminated, with further disposal costs, allowing overall significant savings for citizens, equal to 600-700 million euros per year".
