To all young colleagues
=================
The requests that we receive from young colleagues eager to undertake our profession, require us to make some considerations, which I hope will be useful.
For many years, the pharmaceutical industry, without any government authority intervening, is favored by state laws, to say the least paradoxical, fires without restraint seriously affecting the dignity of those who are left without work and, therefore, without means of subsistence.
The trade union organizations, which once stood alongside the workers to protect them, today - in fact - have become only accountants of our misfortunes, dealing only with the criteria of mobility. Mobility is a nice word, but it means permanent dismissal. It's good to know
FEDAIISF, albeit in its areas of competence, will side with scientific informants with all the media, expertise and legal apparatus it may have at its disposal.
Therefore, we exclude that the new colleagues can be hired on an employee basis: the proposals will be commission contracts, project contracts, consultancy contracts and so on.
The proposal will always be to have a percentage of the sales.
Of products, perhaps, still unknown and therefore without historical basis of turnover.
The price list that is proposed is always a list that includes supplements of every order and species, all of great effect, all of an extraordinary level.
We do not hesitate to believe it.
The commission rates are also interesting: between 25 and 30 percent.
It should be pointed out to these young colleagues, eager to have a business in any case, that 30 percent of zero is dramatically equal to zero.
Ask yourself a problem: how much does it take to have such a turnover that – with the commissions received – you can have an active income statement?
If the prospect is to have an invoice of less than 35,000 euros/year, stop and find another job.
As soon as you start the business you will find yourself paying very heavy taxes, which you will have to interpret as your personal investment for the future.
You will immediately have to deal with the most important expense: the car.
If you look at the ACI tables you will immediately realize that you will have to foresee at least a thousand euros between fixed and variable expenses, for journeys of around 3,000 km/month
To this you will have to add 4,000 euros a year to pay the INPS, then you will have to provide at least a thousand euros a year for the accountant, then the annual fee for the chamber of commerce, then the opening of a VAT number, paid parking in the streets and in hospitals, bar or restaurant expenses because, to save on petrol, you will not be able to go home and you will perhaps have to eat out.
All these expenses begin on the first day you work, but the first money you will see, provided that you have managed to have some form of turnover (unlikely for at least three/four visits to the doctor, i.e. a year) will accrue at least 60 days later, provided that the company is punctual.
This is because you need to see sales from your IMS data. Which, for the uninitiated, are the official provincial sales data, also accepted by the labor judiciary. Which, however, arrive at the end of the following month of work.
Is this data available? Ask for them, they are ESSENTIAL. Otherwise you will never know how and where you sold.
The products are distributed only by wholesalers (those, to be clear, who supply pharmacies or can your products also be sold in health care, shopping centres? Does your company have these sales figures for shopping centres? Which are different from those aforementioned IMS).
Before making you smile again, after this analysis, please let one of us help you in reading the contracts, which they come to offer you.
We will serenely evaluate, within the limits of our experiential knowledge, that the proposing company is reliable, at least from a contractual point of view.
Someone thinks, that I want to discourage you.
Based on the information collected in the clinics: well, the answer is yes.
With exceptions, and without prejudice to all those companies, which already have existing turnover.
But even in that case the comments on fees apply.
Dear future colleagues, a careful analysis is necessary when they offer you a job, especially with unethical products.
My dissertation has the task of making you meditate, not to make you sign without having read clause by clause… take some time and show some experts the contractual line offered.
Companies, don't worry, they never lose out.
Let's try to remember it.
