The first corners in which the drugs will be sold in the Coops will be ready "in early September". To ensure it is Aldo Soldi, national president of the Consumer Cooperatives, who spoke in Bologna at a round table which was also attended by the Minister for Program Implementation, Julius Santagata and the president of the Productive Activities Commission of the Chamber Daniele Capezzone. “We estimate -Soldi clarified- about 200-250 Coop points of sale in which the complete type of point of sale can be housed”. “We did not expect - the president explained - a measure like this, that is, a decree. We had started working, making contacts with suppliers, studying the typology of the corner". Now, considering that, Soldi pointed out, the decree will become law very soon, "we will have to be ready, or very close to being ready in many places in our country by early September". As regards the size of the points of sale that will be created inside the Coops, Soldi has estimated around 30-40 square metres. This size will create some difficulties for smaller supermarkets. The corner, underlined Soldi, “will contain the pharmaceutical products whose sale will be liberalized and other products
that have to do with health and well-being. "We estimate - he specified - about 200-250 Coop points of sale in which the complete typology can be housed". At the same time, however, added the president of the consumer cooperatives, "a flexibility of the typology will be studied, so that it can also be adapted to smaller dimensions".
