The National Movement for Free Pharmacists (Mnlf), in opposition to the position taken by Federfarma, organized yesterday in Rome, in front of the Ministry of Economic Development, a garrison in support of the decree on liberalisations. The appointment, for citizens who share this battle, is in via Molise 2 at 11.30. Pharmacists from all regions will provide advice on the correct use of medicines and will explain "why the Italian pharmacy is in fact a monopoly". “It is no longer possible – reports Mnlf in a note – that the country is continually placed under blackmail in order to protect particular interests to the detriment of general ones. The proposal put forward by the trade union associations of pharmacy owners to exclude the presence of the pharmacist in those establishments where over-the-counter medicines are sold hides the objective of reducing the new opportunities for employee pharmacists opened up by the Bersani decree". According to the National Movement of Free Pharmacists, the goal of pharmacy owners "is to prevent a new relationship from being established between the drug and the pharmacist instead of the one that the current monopoly has supported up to now, i.e. the drug-pharmacy combination ”.
