In order to contain the territorial pharmaceutical expenditure charged to the SSR for 2006 within the limit of 13% of the total health expenditure, the Tuscan Regional Council indicates to the Health Authorities the classes of drugs subject to the limitations. These include proton pump inhibitors, HMC CoA reductase inhibitors, substances acting on the renin-angiotensin system, alpha-adrenergic receptor antagonists, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.
