The extraordinary assembly of over 750 pharmacy owners enrolled in Federfarma Naples confirmed the state of agitation of the category and the transition to indirect assistance for 35 days, the maximum duration allowed by the law on strikes in essential public services. This means that from Monday 6 September until 10 October the pharmacies of Naples and its province will no longer accept prescriptions, supplying medicines only against payment. Citizens, however, will be provided with a form to request the competent ASL for the correct reimbursement for the expenses incurred. Only the so-called "life-saving medicines" remain excluded from the strike (and therefore the relative prescriptions will be accepted), the list of which prepared by the Campania Region can also be consulted on the website Fedefarma Naples. “Ours does not want to be a protest that causes damage to citizens – he explains Michael DiIorio, president of Federfarma Napoli – indeed, precisely for this reason we have decided to expand the list of drugs that we will continue to distribute beyond those established by law; we will also give citizens a form to request reimbursement directly from the ASL.
