DECREE 9 May 1994

Recognition of the suitability of the university diploma in scientific information on drugs for the purpose of carrying out information activities on drugs for human use.

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

Given the legislative decree 30 December 1992, n. 541, laying down the implementing rules of the directive of the Council of the European Communities n. 92/28/EEC, concerning the advertising of medicines for human use;

Seen, in particular, the paragraph 2 of the art. 9 of the aforementioned legislative decree, which establishes that scientific representatives must possess a degree in one of the disciplines indicated therein;

Having noted that the aforementioned paragraph also establishes that the Minister of Health may, with his own decree, recognize other degree diplomas or other university-level diplomas as suitable;

Given the decree of 30 June 1993, published in the Official Gazette of 15 April 1994, with which the Minister of Universities and Scientific and Technological Research added to the list of degrees and diplomas referred to in table 1, annexed to Royal Decree 30 September 1938, n. 1652, among others, the university diploma in scientific information on drugs, establishing that the same can be issued by the faculty of pharmacy;

Considering that the studies completed in the course of the curriculum envisaged for said university diploma provide general basic knowledge sufficient to acquire the preparation necessary for carrying out the information activity on medicines for human use;

Considered, therefore, to be able to recognize as suitable, for the activity of scientific informant, the university diploma in scientific information on drugs;

Decrees

Article 1

Pursuant to paragraph 2 of art. 9 of the legislative decree 30 December 1992, n. 541, the university diploma in scientific information on drugs is recognized as suitable for the purposes of the same article.

Article 2

The provisions of this decree enter into force on the fifteenth day following that of the publication of the decree itself in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic.
