DECREE 7 June 1993
Recognition of the suitability of the degree in veterinary medicine for the purposes of carrying out scientific information on medicines for human use.
THE MINISTER OF HEALTH
Given the legislative decree 30 December 1992, n. 541, laying down the implementing rules of the directive of the Council of the European Communities n. 92/28/EEC, concerning the advertising of medicines for human use;
Seen, in particular, the paragraph 2 of the art. 9 of the aforementioned legislative decree, which establishes that scientific representatives must possess a degree in one of the disciplines indicated therein;
Having noted that the aforementioned paragraph also establishes that the Ministry of Health may, with its own decree, recognize other degree diplomas or other university-level diplomas as suitable;
Considering that the degree in veterinary medicine, not envisaged among those admitted, provides basic general knowledge sufficient to acquire the necessary preparation also for carrying out information on medicines for human use;
Considered, therefore, to be able to recognize as suitable, for the activity of scientific informant, the degree in veterinary medicine,
Decrees
Article 1
Pursuant to paragraph 2 of art. 9 of the legislative decree 30 December 1992, n. 541, the degree in veterinary medicine is recognized as suitable for the purposes of the same article.
Article 2
The provisions of this decree enter into force on the fifteenth day following that of the publication of the decree itself in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic.
