The annual Sectional Assembly was held online in Bologna on 15 February. In the video below the video recording of the event.
He was introduced by Patrizia Bassu, sectional secretary, who gave some indications on the registrations, then the President Alberto Bonomo intervened. Antonio Mazzarella, Fedaiisf president and Angelo Baruchello, AIISF president and Fedaiisf vice president concluded.
Alberto Bonomo took stock of the last 3 years recalling the construction of the section from scratch, "We are now the most numerous section in Italy, a sign of trust and the good work done, but also of strong discontent", said Bonomo.
All the doors were closed, a year and a half ago the working group was opened, the first of its kind in Italy. However, being at a table does not mean that we have suddenly become a powerful lobby that imposes its own rules and that is not what we want.
We have also opened a channel with councilor Donini and with Dr. Soncini, president of the health commission of the region”.
“Lights and shadows – continued the President – we are listened to, but too many disparities in treatment within the various regional structures, especially in Bologna, where there seem to be many small fiefdoms that rebel against regional indications. In this regard we ask for collaboration, as a directorate we are unable to reach everywhere: print the laws, the regulations, show them to the managers of the structures, ask for a meeting with them and together we will work on this.
This requires us to look for contacts also locally. Making people understand who we are and what we do: the institutions don't know it. We are not spending inducers: if our number decreases, pharmaceutical spending will increase”.
President Bonomo concluded by addressing the vaccination problem of the ISF. “The facts happened in a strange way, Bonomo said. It seems that the measure was being signed, then suddenly disappeared, the reasons for this decision are probably very high. Supply difficulties and perhaps too many vaccines administered to the administrators would be the cause, combined with the fact that vaccinating other categories has more political appeal. But the disparity with other regions remains. Currently, however, there are many more who do not vaccinate the ISF, compared to those who do. The main problem, however, is the recognition of our category and it is on this that we must insist (Mazzarella and Baruchello will talk about it at a national level).
