The UK and US authorities have reached an agreement on the tax situation of AstraZeneca (AZ). The Anglo-Swedish company will have to pay 1.1 billion dollars to the US tax authorities, a lower sum than expected. Thanks to this agreement, AZ expects 2011 earnings between $6.9 and $7.2 per share, compared to the previous $6.45 and $6.75.
