The local press reports the episode of a young scientific informant bitten by 
a viper in the locality of S.Giustino shortly after Palazzuolo, along the SS 73 near the Colonna di Grillo.
She had stopped with a colleague to smoke a cigarette and drink from a spring when suddenly a viper appeared from a wall and bit her arm. Immediately the injection site became red, with tingling, pain and bluish skin.
Quickly, the colleague stretched her out, washed and immobilized her arm and tightly wrapped a handkerchief around her arm upstream of the bite to prevent the poison from spreading.
Called 118, when the ambulance arrived the young woman was already better. Arriving in the emergency room of the Scotte hospital in Siena, she was already fine.
A bad adventure fortunately ended well.
