Rome, 21 September – What will happen tomorrow, or in two years or five years in the health sector? If the future, as it seems, will pass through new drugs, devices and technologies, a new culture of health and new professional skills and abilities, how can space be found for all of this in the public health system, making it adequate and sustainable?
These crucial questions will try to answer the Forum of Sustainability and Opportunities in the Health Sector, which will be held on 23 and 24 September next in Florence, in what is the symbolic place of the new Renzist course of the Democratic Party, the Stazione Leopolda.
The event aims to be a national space for meeting and participation on aspects of sustainability in the health sector and the market. Along with exhibition spaces, demos and meetings. the program includes more than twenty conferences, courses, workshops, round tables to discuss what changes and what type of development are needed in the health system to be more equitable, effective and sustainable at the same time and a driving force for innovation, opportunities and development.
Among the appointments of the dense program, the Pharma Question Time dedicated to the topic deserves to be mentioned The political choices on medicines in Italy and their impact on health and sustainability, a comparison between experts, operators and citizens on drug policies in Italy. An absolutely central topic for the future of public health in Italy, especially in relation to access to very expensive latest generation drugs.
