Matteo Renzi yesterday visited the headquarters of Berlin Chemie, a subsidiary of the Italian group Menarini, immediately before the bilateral agreement with the German chancellor Angela Merkel.
“President Renzi came to visit us on a very busy day, and this honors us doubly. We especially liked the message launched, namely that Italian industry can be a successful industry also abroad, despite the evil that we Italians tend to wish each other, by denigrating our abilities", commented Lucia Aleotti, president of the Italian pharmaceutical group Menarini, to Adnkronos Salute, today in Rome on the sidelines of the Farmindustria 2015 assembly.
“Beyond the single company – added Aleotti – it is the pharmaceutical sector which is the driving force for the Italian economy. Our industry is bringing Italy out of the crisis, it is an industry with a high added value, which is investing heavily and is returning to hire.
It is important that this thrust is not modified and the Government has understood this value. It is important that we row in a common direction”.
In Berlin, he concluded, "we mainly produce tablets, with 5 billion pieces released from the factory alone last year to the whole world".
