Once the patent for a drug expires, the National Health Service sets a "reference" price, i.e. it decides unilaterally what price it will reimburse from now on for each prescription of that drug.
Whether it is generic or not if the reference price is 10 euros, this is what the NHS costs, as you can see the savings for the state coffers are made upstream and possibly the use of the designer foresees, when it does not have the same price , a price difference WHICH IS BORNE BY THE CITIZEN! I pass over bioavailability, packaging, wild discounts to pharmacists, entrepreneurial parasitism of generic companies and I congratulate Mrs. D'Amico and the drafting of her program for the umpteenth blow of demagoguery and superficiality assessed us.
