16/06/2014 – AIFA
AIFA considers the counseling activity carried out by the doctor towards his patients to be fundamental. It is important that the doctor provides them with all the information about the treatment and asks them to read the package leaflets of the medicines they are taking.
In order to control the minimization of the risks associated with therapy with some drugs, it is also expected that doctors will deliver the "Patient Alert Card".
The Alert Cards are part of the educational material that the doctor receives from the company and whose contents are verified by the Offices of Pharmacovigilance of the Regulatory Agencies.
With this press release, AIFA reminds doctors of the importance of delivering the relevant "Patient Alert Cards" to all patients receiving drugs that require them, and urges them to be carefully distributed in order to provide safety messages before taking the drug and throughout treatment.
