In reality it is much, much more: it is an attack on the effectiveness of generic medicines and it is a request for measures against family doctors who do not do their bureaucratic work well and do not respect the rules of the convention, which should be suspended for non-compliance with the contract.
It all stems from the ASL circular on the appropriateness of medicinal prescriptions, which follows the report of sub-commissioner Baraldi who in early December complained of the overrun of the ceiling for pharmaceutical expenditure. In short, according to the ASL, more attention must be paid to the cost of the drugs that are prescribed.
